Happy New Year's Eve! Or as we say here in Trinidad, Happy Ole Year's Day! With the impending start of a new year, filled with the promise of new beginnings, I've decided to give my blog a makeover. I know I always say I'll try to write more but I never do, this time I'm really going to make the effort. This past semester at uni has FINALLY taught me the value of time management and so my aim is to work on improving this aspect of my life even more, which will ultimately help with making more time for blogging and writing and other extra-curricular activities (hopefully). Year 2 of University is proving to be quite a challenge and I really need to up my GPA, so a lot of my time has been spent focusing on my academics this semester, which I'm quite proud of.

2012 was a whirlwind experience for me. I've been through quite a lot and I'm still reeling from some events but I'm thankful nonetheless for another year (especially since it's the one which supposedly marked the 'end of the world'). I don't think I would have been able to make it through this year without my amazing friends, despite the fact that they're not plentiful in number, they sure make up for it in everything else. Some of the highlights of this year definitely have to be: Valentine's Day, My 19th Birthday, My trip to New York City (seeing the city lights from the top of the Empire State Building at night was magical), Going to see a live musical of Hairspray, Finally owning my own Kate Spade accessories,The Foreign Language Film Festival, and realizing who really matters right now. So I've now embraced both the good and the bad of this year and moving on to the next with my head held high and no time to look back.

I take 2013 as a sort of new beginning for me, to better myself in every aspect, really try to make the most out of life. I don't know why but somehow I feel like this year really has some sort of good fortune for me, even if I have to make it myself. I've been making resolutions for years, which have never materialized, so this year I'm not making any. I'm just going with the flow and utilizing my time more wisely to hopefully gain positive results. So this year, will hopefully be my year. The goal is, as always, happiness.

Cheers and here's to a Happy New Year 2013!

Oh Olympia!

Saturday, October 20, 2012
I know it's been ages since I've posted but some things never change, like being swamped with work and still being obsessed with the Olympia Le Tan book clutches. I've gathered even more photos of the coveted book clutches which I love and here they are...

Now, if ever there is a "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" book clutch made, I would sell my organs to have it, so I'm hoping it's made in the future when I'm working for some actual cash -_-"

BOOKWORM STYLE

Friday, May 11, 2012
My latest obsession, well actually, it's been an obsession for quite awhile now...BOOK CLUTCHES! I'm so in love with them, they're absolutely brilliant and super cute. I'm dying to have one, living in the Caribbean sucks at times like these, especially when you can't source the things you want online. The other problem being, the price >.< Low and behold, they're all quite expensive. The first set of clutches I discovered were the Kate Spade ones, seeing as I'm a fan of the brand already, it wasn't hard for me to fall in love the moment I saw the cover of "Pride and Prejudice" on a clutch. I literally became obsessed after that, hence, research (lol), which is when I came across the amazing, Olympia Le Tan book clutches *_* << starstruck. The one I love the most has to be the Pride and Prejudice clutch by Kate Spade, however, Olympia Le Tan, literally has an entire collection of just about every amazing book known to man kind. (Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating) But, she really does have an amazing collection.

Check these out...

Want...so...badly...*covet covet* All the pretteh!

~*Poui Blossoms*~

(Poui Tree in bloom at the Queen's Park Savannah, Trinidad)

One of the best things about living in Trinidad, for me that is, is the month of April, which happens to be my favourite of the year, not only because it’s my birth month, but because that’s when the beautiful Poui trees are in bloom. I have a special love for the pink ones in particular (there are also yellow, which are stunning as well), but the pink reminds me of Japanese Cherry Blossom trees or Sakura. Just sitting under one of those trees, surrounded by the blanket of delicate pink blossoms on the grass is just peaceful and comforting. It is absolutely breathtaking, and something about it, for me seems promising, of what, I do know but hopefully I will one day.

Things I'm Thankful for...

Wednesday, May 2, 2012
Today I watched the movie "Soul Surfer", I've been wanting to see it ever since it came out in cinemas but never got the chance to. It didn't disappoint though, it's just one of those movies that really make you sit and think and be extremely thankful for the little things we take for granted everyday. So here's my list of things I'm thankful for :)

1. Being alive and healthy for 19 years and counting
2. Having no physical abnormalities
3. Being able to see, smell, touch, hear, speak, taste, walk and breathe
4. My parents
5. Most of my family members (There are some I really wish I weren't related too)
6. My other family, a.k.a. My amazing friends <3
7. The comfortable life I have, I may not have the most extravagant life but at least I'm not living on the streets
8. Music, because it comforts you in the most unexpected times when no one else can
9. Books, because they provide an escape and allow you to visit the entire world even if you can't physically do so.
10. Every little God-given miracle on this turmoil infested planet, He knows we need it.
