Put that Spring in your step

Wednesday, January 16, 2013
Spring isn't my favourite season (those honours go to a very close race between fall and winter), however, I LOVE spring colours, the brights and patterns. I got inspiration for this post from the upcoming line of sneakers by Keds in collaboration with Kate Spade New York, set to release in February 2013.

Aren't they cute?! I love the plain pink ones, the stripes and the chevron, hopefully I get to snag myself a pair. There are so many other things that make spring fun also, like Easter (and the colour palette that comes with it), flowers (new beginnings) and my birthday of course! ^_^

I know I'll basically be in the middle/end of the semester during this time, which is the most hectic, hence, I end up hating it, so before that occurs here are a few things that just screamed spring to me...

More Olympia Le Tan Love

Wednesday, January 9, 2013
So as evident in my previous posts, I absolutely ADORE Olympia Le Tan's book clutches. They're just so beautiful and you can really see the hard work put into each and every one, I don't think I'd even use it if I got one, I'd just keep it as a souvenir and bask in it's perfection. The price tag for one is quite hefty though, so until I'm raking in the bucks, I'll just have to feast my eyes. That, however, is proving to be quite difficult, especially with this new release scheduled for release in February 2013.

It's the limited edition "Rouge in Love" book clutch by Olympia Le Tan for LancĂ´me, an added bonus is that it's filled with lipsticks and nailpolish! *sigh* isn't it pretty? And...PINK! Love love love...

For Auld Lang Syne

Happy New Year's Eve! Or as we say here in Trinidad, Happy Ole Year's Day! With the impending start of a new year, filled with the promise of new beginnings, I've decided to give my blog a makeover. I know I always say I'll try to write more but I never do, this time I'm really going to make the effort. This past semester at uni has FINALLY taught me the value of time management and so my aim is to work on improving this aspect of my life even more, which will ultimately help with making more time for blogging and writing and other extra-curricular activities (hopefully). Year 2 of University is proving to be quite a challenge and I really need to up my GPA, so a lot of my time has been spent focusing on my academics this semester, which I'm quite proud of.

2012 was a whirlwind experience for me. I've been through quite a lot and I'm still reeling from some events but I'm thankful nonetheless for another year (especially since it's the one which supposedly marked the 'end of the world'). I don't think I would have been able to make it through this year without my amazing friends, despite the fact that they're not plentiful in number, they sure make up for it in everything else. Some of the highlights of this year definitely have to be: Valentine's Day, My 19th Birthday, My trip to New York City (seeing the city lights from the top of the Empire State Building at night was magical), Going to see a live musical of Hairspray, Finally owning my own Kate Spade accessories,The Foreign Language Film Festival, and realizing who really matters right now. So I've now embraced both the good and the bad of this year and moving on to the next with my head held high and no time to look back.

I take 2013 as a sort of new beginning for me, to better myself in every aspect, really try to make the most out of life. I don't know why but somehow I feel like this year really has some sort of good fortune for me, even if I have to make it myself. I've been making resolutions for years, which have never materialized, so this year I'm not making any. I'm just going with the flow and utilizing my time more wisely to hopefully gain positive results. So this year, will hopefully be my year. The goal is, as always, happiness.

Cheers and here's to a Happy New Year 2013!

Oh Olympia!

Saturday, October 20, 2012
I know it's been ages since I've posted but some things never change, like being swamped with work and still being obsessed with the Olympia Le Tan book clutches. I've gathered even more photos of the coveted book clutches which I love and here they are...

Now, if ever there is a "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" book clutch made, I would sell my organs to have it, so I'm hoping it's made in the future when I'm working for some actual cash -_-"

BOOKWORM STYLE

Friday, May 11, 2012
My latest obsession, well actually, it's been an obsession for quite awhile now...BOOK CLUTCHES! I'm so in love with them, they're absolutely brilliant and super cute. I'm dying to have one, living in the Caribbean sucks at times like these, especially when you can't source the things you want online. The other problem being, the price >.< Low and behold, they're all quite expensive. The first set of clutches I discovered were the Kate Spade ones, seeing as I'm a fan of the brand already, it wasn't hard for me to fall in love the moment I saw the cover of "Pride and Prejudice" on a clutch. I literally became obsessed after that, hence, research (lol), which is when I came across the amazing, Olympia Le Tan book clutches *_* << starstruck. The one I love the most has to be the Pride and Prejudice clutch by Kate Spade, however, Olympia Le Tan, literally has an entire collection of just about every amazing book known to man kind. (Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating) But, she really does have an amazing collection.

Check these out...

Want...so...badly...*covet covet* All the pretteh!
